Changing a career can be a headache for many people who feel that their current job isn’t fulfilling the challenges and expectations that it once did. It’s never easy to change your job role, and as the older you get the more obstacles you come up against and everything from experience to qualifications can trip you up.

If you have a company in mind that you would like to work for then this is a good base to start, you can interact with everyone from juniors and seniors to find out how the new industry shapes up and whether they accept people that have looked to change careers.
What you will find is that some companies encourage and help people who want to make that important jump.
Focus on a Target
Focus is a key contributor to your new career, and you will need to ask yourself many questions before you feel that the move is right for you. If you need extra qualifications then look at private tutoring sessions to help you achieve these targets, or look at what your skills, values and your hobbies and interests are.
Most likely you will find that whatever your hobbies are, you are good at them and enjoy them, and so transferring these skills over to a job could be the best thing you ever did.
You aren’t going to jump into a new position and start the ball rolling overnight, if you are, you are lucky and gifted. It takes time to adapt into a new industry and you will find that fitting in and developing into the new role can take time, but this is where you will really understand the concepts involved and how different it is to your previous career.
Sometime it’s worth freelancing first to test the waters but making sure you can pay the bills at the same time, or volunteering out of work hours to get a feel of things.
Doing something like this also helps build up experience that you can then document on your resume, so it shows future employees that you have a real passion and drive to succeed and make it work in a new field of expertise.
