BOSTON (Thomson Financial) - The9 Ltd. Friday said rumors that have surfaced regarding the World of Warcraft's renewal contract are 'completely unfounded.'
The China-based online game operator is currently in contract negotiations regarding World of Warcraft's future operation in China.
The9 (nasdaq: NCTY - news - people ) said it is actively conducting the contract extension negotiations, and will announce to the market once a final decision is made.
Shares closed Thursday at $17.98.
