We got a bit of press for our new show and our new photographer in the Rio Grande Sun, nice. I also sent a PR to the Taos News, generally we get a listing. It’s a weekly as well, so today as we are in town --We pick up a Taos News. Ha, Ha! There is MY picture of Monument Valley, a whole half a page in full living color!! Well, I always send a press release and two or three pictures to allow the writer/editor to choose what they like best. But I was featuring someone else so what a nice suprise they chose me instead. “Ghost in Truchas” they called it.

We had SOOOO much to do today that I ordered paint for the new bathroom (2 kinds, another glaze job) and we walked away without it! Went to look for other stuff whilst they mixed, then had such a bad kink in my shoulder, forgot all about the paint, just wanted to pay and get to the car and get home!

No matter, (another, related story coming) as my husband has given me leave to purchase (if it is still there in the morning, I am rising at 7, leaving at 8, and meeting Habitat at their door when they open at 9am tomorrow) for the antique oak roll-top desk, SIX feet wide and 34 inches deep, working PERFECTLY for only $475. I said, “I need it, I love it, is it foolish, Can I buy it?” And he said “I was hoping you would decide to get it!!” HA, ha, ha, how I love this man. Not only is he handsome and loveable he is SO clever! AND knows a great price on an invaluable collectible!!

Cross your fingers for me it will still be there. He said wait ‘ til nine and call. I say HA! I’m not waiting for anybody! I’LL BE THERE AT 9.

Plus I can run by Lowe’s and pick up the bathroom paint I asked them to mix and forgot to come back for. Because I was shopping for slate tile, setting mortar, and grout as well as tools and saws and sealer.....etc.

BTW, shoulder is feeling much better, after a couple Motrin and a couple Martinis After a FULL FUCKING DAY OF PAIN EVEN TWITCHING-- Let’s not wait until the evening to fix it.

I could put a couple Motrin and a shot or two in my coffee in the morning and avoid all this daytime pain. So simple. I was awful. I was actually crippled today, could not even lift my arm. Sleeping crooked. Need the Space Bed. That’s after we have the house secured. Before, hopefully, my back gives out for good.
