When my son ( cried over being a double digit age, but calls it 9 + 1) was little, I called him Pip or Peterkins.

When he was four or five, he insisted we call him "Timmy" because he liked that name.
It is also the name of one of my brothers.

So we did and after not even a day, he decided he did not like to be called Timmy and reverted.

Now, he wants us to call him "Geo", after he heard this name on America's Best Dance Crew.
His middle name is George, so there is something common to it.

Checking on his school work, I noticed "Geo" written on his papers yesterday.

Already signed in ink, I am not so sure this is official but we will see how long it takes before he reverts again.

I will go make him a artsy name sign for his bedroom and hang it up before he comes home from school.
This will be the real test.

I think Geo is a cute name. And it just might stick. But make the sign he should love that.
