The drama continues for the girls from The Hills. The current issue of Us Weekly states that Lauren Conrad felt betrayed by BFF Audrina Patridge. So Lauren tried to say on her MySpace blog that Us just published a sensationalistic headline to sell magazines. Now a source at Us Weekly is telling TMZ, "MTV execs loved the cover- and the storyline matched exactly what they're promoting for the "Hills" season opener on March 24."
But apparently Audrina "went into a rage" when she read the article so Lauren tried to backtrack with her blog post which in turn potentially offended the mag, a publication that plays a big role in The Hills' high ratings. So backpedaling yet again she's issued this statement: "It was never my intention to criticize Us Weekly as I have a great relationship with them. My statement was only meant to support and stand by my friends."
Kudos to Lauren for putting her foot in her mouth not once, but three different times, in the span of just a few days.
