K.K. Swamy, Deputy Managing Director of Toyota Kirloskar Motor Company resigned and is expected to join the German car makers Volkswagen as its Managing Director for its operations in India, One of the first employees of Toyota Kirloskar Motor Corporation, Swami was instrumental in launching the highly successful multi-purpose vehicle (MPV), Qualis, which was later replaced with another MPV, Innova. He was a man of principles and has offered a lot to the success of the company.
This is not the first time Toyota is witnessing a resignation from the higher official, during the last 12 months there has been exits from some senior general managers who have later joined other big fishes in the auto industry like General Motors, Ford, Volkswagen and Mahindra & Mahindra.
