Well...we can confirm that there will be a new album from Polly this year...in fact September 24th is the actual date. We can also confirm that the album, produced by Polly, Flood & John Parish, will be titled White Chalk and features musical contributions from long time associate, Eric Drew Feldman, and also Jim White of the Dirty Three.

Polly is expected to preview some of the news songs, at her upcoming sold-out show, this coming Saturday in Manchester. ...

The Little Things

I've been trying so very hard for the past month to not be bothered by the little things.

Not what I consider little, mind you, but what other people see as little.

I read too much into what is NOT said. What is NOT done.

Or maybe I don't.

I hate being avoided. More then fucking anything. Just come out and say it. I hate pretense.

And I've been trying to give the benfit of the doubt. I can in most cases. But not in this one.

I've been working on a novel for 5 years now. I was finally able to get all of the characters, (and there are many), the plot, timeline and setting to all work together and start putting it into a written form a year ago. I had close to a quarter of the first rough draft completed on my laptop. I have a pro-bono editor/beta-tester. Things were in a good spot. My laptop's motherboard died 3 weeks ago. Luckily it was only 6 months old, and that got replaced for free.

For the past couple of years, I'm had a monopoly on bitterness, despair and morbidness all served with a whip of the acid tongue. People were either instantly turned off, or they were at least amused by it. The people turned off, I thought, Fuck them, I don't need them if they don't get me. The amused ones stayed. A man who hijacked the teachings of Jesus to skim a neat profit off of hate and oppression died today.

I thought while I was still up, I'd go ahead and post my second short story, Liberation. This one happens to be my favorite because I felt the characters came though much clearer in this one. Again, I read it over 5 million times but those tricky errors always escape my notice, so again, try to over look them. Cheers.

I first wrote this story a year ago, and it really was the first short story I wrote. Since then, it has gone under some hafty editing, including some tonight before I posted it.
