city of Houston wants more tax money from online hotel booking services. A lawsuit the city is waging mirrors a city of San Antonio case that won approval for class-action status. Hotels in Houston must remit to the city the hotel-occupancy tax of 7 percent, based on the price at which they sell rooms.
